Sgt. Thomas McVicar of the Jersey City Police Department shot 22 year old Kwadir Felton, leaving him blind, after Kwadir pulled a gun on him, he claims. Kwadir Felton denied the accusation, stating that he doesn’t even carry guns.

"I don’t understand!" Felton yelled at a police officer before his mother was removed from the courtroom. "You didn’t have to shoot me in the head for no reason! You trying to charge me with something I didn’t do!"

do you ever just wonder if there’s someone who secretly thinks about you and wants to talk to you but doesn’t know how

(Source: prudence-halliwell, via metalhearted)

Stop taking advice from broke unhappy people!! Someone has what you want, DO WHAT THEY DID. Stop listening to the parents and the teachers who are in some form or another, broke. Why would you listen to someone who works 60 hours a week, makes $70k, and takes maybe one vacation every year or so? Why would you listen to the adults that makes a hefty $250,000 BUT he doesn’t have any time, he constantly complains about his boss or how he “hates Mondays.” That’s not just how life is!!! That’s life telling you to be average, that’s life telling you to settle for less than you deserve. YOU ARE POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE. There are 20year olds out there, driving paid for BMWS, having 5 figure years every month. I just read an article about a young man who legit retired by the time he was 27. GET REAL. It’s not luck, IT’S WORK. The harder you work, the luckier you’ll be. A lot of times I ask people what they’re majoring in and what career path they’re hoping to potential fulfill. Then I ask if they could do anything in the world what would it be. Ya know what? I GET DIFFERENT ANSWERS. I had a young man tell me he’s going to college for fiancé to one day be a finance manager. Then he told me his dream is to be in the NFL. BOY HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GET TO THE NFL BY PUTTING ALL YOUR TIME INTO FINANCE? How is that logical in any way? I have nothing against college, what I have something against is people nothing attaining their full potential. What I have something against is people just going to college to go. Nowadays, people go to college because that is what is expected of them. To not go to college is something that is looked down upon as “making a huge mistake” in one’s life. I guarantee you, a lot of these students, they haven’t been dreaming about being accountants their whole life, they haven’t been dreaming about being in real estate, or being a senior manager, or some sort of analyst. Somewhere along the line, they were taught that their dreams weren’t possible, they were taught their dreams weren’t realistic. Most likely, they grew up in a 98%er household, with average parents, working average jobs. I’m not saying the parents aren’t phenomenal people, but most likely they have an average career. The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don’t define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. They don’t even put their dreams in the realm of possibility and that breaks my heart. People who sit back and let fear control them, only hurt themselves but my god do I dislike seeing people, friends, not attain what they’re truly capable of. I’m going to push for them. I want all of us to be successful. I want all of us to have time freedom and money freedom. I am not going to sit back and watch any of you suffer. If it takes my entire life to see all of us successful, I will do it! No matter the cost. I won’t stop until I see a change.
